Color Me Blue starts out with an online conversation between two characters, Dax and Angelique. We find out later that these two play video games together and have known each other quite a while--but only online. Dax wants to meet Angelique in person since they live in the same town but she's afraid the reality won't live up to her imagined Dax and so she refuses. That plan works fine until she gets into trouble in a bar and a totally hot, dangerous stranger comes to her rescue.I love this book from start to finish. I've never seen romance characters who are game-players and the uniqueness of that was charming. And the characters themselves--LOVE! The hero is sexy and awesome (I want!) and Angelique/Joanna is adorable. I loved seeing them meet and work out issues and...all of it. (I'm trying very hard not to give away any spoilers.) Let me just end with...read this book!

That was a fun and sexy book. Jo is having a terrible no-good day and it looks like it's going to get worse when she finds herself having to ride with a stranger. On top of that, Connor looks like nothing but bad news. But then it turns out she knows him from online chatting. What follows is a scorching tale of submission and desire. I couldn't put it down!
This is a really unique book with an interesting premise I've never seen before, and it plays out wonderfully in a BDSM romance with a lot of heart. I quickly became invested in the main characters and their relationship, and the story is very entertaining, more than enough to justify the heat levels that come later.
Pick this up. It's a well written, vivid read
This story was original--the main characters are gamers whose avatars have been hanging out together for months on their MMO. Who knew geeky gamers could be so freaking hot? Well, I did, and I was really glad to see geeks portrayed as sexy. Definitely not the same old stereotype! It turns out that they are into other kind of games, too, especially those that involve bondage and submission. A cute tale about a very cute and sexy couple. Loved it!
In "Color Me Blue" we meet Jo Whitney a woman who has had one horrible day including being cheated on and having her purse stolen. There's no way it could get worse. However, her luck breaks when she gets picked up by a stranger who just happens to be the sexy dom Connor Finlay who proceeds to show her pleasures she's only dreamed of.
I loved the premise of this really fun and sexy book. The author did a wonderful job of creating chemistry between the two characters. The dialogue was entertaining and the sex scenes were explosive. A great read.
This hot and well-written novella was an easy read, and I liked it all the more for that. Barlow has a way with words that make images seem to jump off the page, and I was able to visualize everything as I read it, which is something I feel is quite important in a good book.
Everything is going badly for Jo, and just when it seems like things can't get any worse, she meets a tough stranger who knows a few secrets about her. But he's just the Dom she's looking for, and he gives her the best erotic BDSM experience of her life. There's a happy ending, too.
Definitely recommended.
If you haven't already discovered Linda Barlow's writing then you're in for a treat, and Color Me Blue is a great place to start. After an evening that has gone from one disaster to another, Jo just wants to get home and forget about it all. Hot dom Connor Finlay has other plans, though, and it turns out he presses all the right buttons for Jo, particularly when we learn that there's a bit more to this encounter than first meets the eye. And what better than a bit of down and dirty submission to make everything fine? This one of those stories that stays with you after you've finished - I'd be happy for Connor to take me for a ride any day!
I am all about tales of submission and dominance, and this one definitely hit the spot. One thing I loved about this was the nice, deliberate, steamy build-up to the good stuff. Lots of authors will rush straight in without giving you any reason to care about the characters, but in this story, we really get to know Jo and sympathize with her. When she lands with the tough guy dom, I was squirming just as much as she was, and for all the same reasons! I hadn't read much Linda Barlow before this, but I'm definitely going to be looking out for more now!
